OpenLazarus builds a company-owned operating system with AI teammates and publishes the prices for hosting it, supporting it and running AI on it1.

Best for: Companies above 100 people that want the monthly cost of running AI published before they commit: hosting, engineering support and AI usage.

Not the right fit for: Small businesses that want a fixed price for a one-off project, or buyers who need the consulting fee itself on a public price list.

What each published price buys

  • Managed hosting, from $150 a month: a fully managed deployment with backups, updates and monitoring, which the client can move to its own cloud at any time1.
  • Developer support, from $4,500 a month: 10 engineering credits a month that engineers spend on fixes, new features and integrations, with the backlog visible to the client1.
  • Headless AI access, 5.5% on credits: usage of any model, including frontier, openly licensed or custom-trained models, through its AI router, from the platform or the client's own code1.
  • AI-Architect consultancy, priced per engagement: an architect works with leadership on how the company should run, then designs processes and AI teammates with it. It is recommended for companies above 100 people1.

Hosting is available on EU servers for European companies2. On its architects page, OpenLazarus says it takes on work only when it can guarantee the work will pay for itself, and that relying on a single language model can leave token costs 20 to 95% higher3. Both are the company's own statements.

Published evidence

  • Quick Scan & Go (retail, 80 stores). OpenLazarus reports that profits grew 76% after the company’s wasted time was redeployed. Company-reported, with no published method.3

Strengths and limits

Strengths

  • Publishes the costs that usually appear only after go-live: hosting, ongoing engineering and AI usage.
  • Each monthly price says what it buys: 10 engineering credits for fixes, features and integrations, or backups, updates and monitoring for hosting.
  • Hosting can be moved to the client’s own cloud at any time, and the client owns its data.
  • Works with any model through its router, which avoids paying a single provider’s token prices.

Limits

  • The AI-Architect consultancy is priced per engagement; the fee is not published.
  • Prices are “from” figures; the page gives no upper bound for hosting or support.
  • Usage cost depends on the AI credits consumed, which the buyer has to estimate.
  • The architect engagement is recommended for companies above 100 people, so it is not aimed at very small firms.

Choose another option if: You want a fixed price for a single project with no ongoing platform. Main & Machine publishes fixed project prices for small and mid-size businesses.

Pricing

Published: managed hosting from $150 a month; developer support from $4,500 a month with 10 engineering credits; 5.5% on AI credits. The AI-Architect consultancy is priced per engagement.

Questions to ask OpenLazarus

  • What is the fee for the AI-Architect engagement, and what does it deliver?
  • How many AI credits would our first processes consume each month?
  • What does developer support cost beyond 10 engineering credits?
  • If we move hosting to our own cloud, what continues to cost money?
